Description:	In 2008 the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops published a new rite for blessing on the fifteenth birthday, approved by the Holy See for inclusion in the Book of Blessings. This Quinceañera Workshop will provide an overview of the elements of the two options for the rite, within Mass or outside Mass. The practical and pastoral needs at the parish level will also be addressed. All priests, deacons, and those in parish leadership positions will benefit from this workshop. Fr. Pedro Lopez, pastor of St. Pius X Parish in Santa Fe Springs, California, and a member of the Liturgical Commission in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, will be the presenter. He will offer a morning session in English and a session in the afternoon in Spanish.
